MADRID, July 6th. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this Tuesday his intention to equip the entire territory of Ukraine with “basic” protective equipment against missile attacks this year and has asked his Western allies for “understanding” so that they supply the country with modern material, to carry out its implementation.

“This is a maximum task for our state – to provide Ukrainians with basic security and protection against missile attacks already this year. But the fulfillment of this task depends not only on us, but also on the understanding of our basic needs by a part of us our partners,” said the Ukrainian President in his daily message to the Ukrainian people.

Zelenski assured that diplomatic activities aimed at procuring modern and sufficient anti-missile defense systems for Ukraine “did not decrease by a single day” and stressed that the state must support the country’s defense “as much as possible”.

“Our task with you is to persevere, to protect us, especially to protect our emotions, to help defend the country as much as possible, to protect the state as much as is necessary for our victory,” he added added.

On the other hand, the President of Ukraine detailed that in the last day the Sumy, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions were attacked by Ukrainian troops. He also claimed that some of the Russian missiles were shot down by Ukrainian anti-aircraft forces.

He also regretted that on Tuesday night the air alert sounded in almost the entire territory of the country: “Before that, there had been no air alert in the capital and in some regions for some time (…) Some people are even particularly worried about such an unusual silence.”
