The heat is coming, summer has already begun and the longing for the beach is spreading. The percentage of Spaniards planning a trip in the coming months has increased by more than 20 points to 89%, with the recovery of the plane at the expense of the car journey. Therefore, after two years of the pandemic, international and distant travel destinations are on the rise among preferences for these holidays.

Idyllic sandbanks surrounded by coral reefs and dotted with palm trees await you all over the world and promise warm tropical nights. In this video, travel journalist Paco Nadal explains why he considers these the five best beaches in the world. The pictures prove him right.

  1. Railay (Thailand). A peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand dotted with impenetrable mangroves and huge limestone cliffs, it is only accessible by boat. Very popular with climbers.
  2. Tofu (Mozambique). an endless sandbar in Indian next to a small town where you live barefoot and enjoy the charm of local life in the African country.
  3. Whitehaven (Australia). This is probably the most photogenic beach in the world, incredibly white. It is located on the main island of the Whitsunday archipelago. Several sequences of the Pirates of the Caribbean saga were filmed there.
  4. Matira Beach (Bora Bora). The only public beach in this French Polynesian atoll that encapsulates all the magic of the South Seas.
  5. Anse Source D’Argent (Seychelles). The Seychelles is the epitome of tropical paradise, and Anse Source D’Argent beach on La Digue Island is considered the most beautiful in the archipelago.
