In the collective bargaining dispute in the airport security industry, Verdi’s union is calling for a nearly nationwide warning strike.
On Tuesday, airport screeners in Frankfurt, Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Hannover, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn will stop working all day, the Berlin union announced.
At Frankfurt airport, passengers will again not be able to board, as announced by the operating company Fraport. Only travelers in transit would be processed.
In the last week, collective bargaining, which was also accompanied by warning strikes, was without result, a new bargaining date has been agreed for Thursday.
Among other things, Verdi calls for hourly wages for aviation security services to be increased by at least one euro per hour and for wages to be adjusted regionally. (dpa)
