Ciro Immobile, the star of Lazio, returned to the top of the top scorer in the Italian league, taking advantage of the fasting of Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, the star of Juventus.
Since the start of the season, the fight for top scorer in the Italian league has continued between Ciro Immobile and Dusan Vlahovic, who moved to Juventus from Fiorentina last January.
Immobile reached 21 goals to occupy the top scorer in the Italian league, after scoring his team’s go-ahead goal from a penalty kick against Venezia during matchday 29 of the competition.
Thus, Immobile led the way, with a goal difference over Vlahovic, who was quick to score after participating as a substitute in Juventus’ 3-1 victory against Sampdoria on Saturday night.
In third place comes Hellas Verona striker Giovanni Simeone with 15 goals, followed by Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez with 14 goals.
Additionally, Immobile became Lazio’s all-time top scorer in the Italian league with 144 goals, surpassing Silvio Piola’s record.
Vlahovic scored 16 goals for Fiorentina, his former team, before joining Juventus at the Mercato last winter, scoring 4 goals with him.
Immobile seeks to be crowned for the third time in his career with the award for top scorer in Serie A, after winning it in the 2013-2014 and 2019-2020 seasons.
