The price of the Saudi riyal against the Egyptian pound stabilized today, Saturday, March 19, 2022 in exchange companies.

The price of the Saudi riyal today in Egypt

The average price of the Saudi riyal, according to the website of the Central Bank of Egypt, was about 4.17 pounds for buying and 4.20 pounds for selling.

According to a survey conducted by “Al-Ain News” on prices in 23 banks, the average price of the Saudi riyal was about 4.13 pounds for buying and 4.20 pounds for selling.

And the Saudi riyal posted the highest buying price, around 4.18 pounds, at Kuwait’s Commercial International Bank and Al-Ahly.

While the highest price to sell the riyal occurred, around EGP 4.21, at the Greek National Bank, Housing and Development, the Arab African Development Banks and Egypt-Iran.

While the price of the Saudi riyal against the Egyptian pound in the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, is around 4.18 pounds for purchase, and 4.19 pounds for sale.

Gas

The Egyptian Gas Market Regulatory Authority increased fees for the use of the natural gas network for 2022 by 6.4%.

A document, seen by Reuters on Thursday, showed that Egypt raised tariffs for the use of the national gas network to as high as $0.41 per million British thermal units. This increase will apply nationwide.

Egypt had raised natural gas prices for consumer-intensive industrial activities to $5.75 per million thermal units and $4.75 for other activities.

The Regulatory Authority for Gas Market Activities is an independent body established under Law No. (196/2017) with the objective of regulating the market for gas market activities.

The law works to help create a regulatory climate to encourage and attract investment in the gas market, helping to make additional amounts of gas available to the local market and allowing qualified consumers to choose gas suppliers, while establishing regulations to allow the use of gas networks and installations in exchange for a fair use rate that is applied without discrimination and to guarantee the achievement of free competition.

The law also regulates the emerging relationships between the participants in the gas market and establishes the technical and legal controls to carry out the activities of the gas market.

Prices of the dollar, the euro and the pound sterling today in Egypt

The average price of the dollar in the banking market, according to the website of the Central Bank of Egypt, stabilized at around 15.66 pounds for purchase and 15.75 pounds for sale.

The average price of the European euro, according to the website of the Central Bank of Egypt, was stable at around 17.30 pounds for buying and 17.41 pounds for selling.

While the average price of the pound sterling, in the banking market, according to the Central Bank of Egypt, registered about 21.54 pounds for purchase, and 21.67 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

Dirham and dinar prices today in Egypt

The average price of the United Arab Emirates dirham, according to the website of the Central Bank of Egypt, was around 4.26 pounds for buying and 4.29 pounds for selling.

The average price of the Kuwaiti dinar, according to the website of the Central Bank of Egypt, was stable at around 51.46 pounds for buying and 51.92 pounds for selling.
