Many Muslims celebrate the half night of Sha’ban with different types of remembrance, including the prayer of praise. What is the rule and how?

Then he raises his head from prostration and says this glorification 10 times sitting between the two prostrations, then he prostrates the second prostration and says it while prostrating ten times, then he raises his head and says it ten times sitting, which is the sitting of rest. That is in the four rak’ahs.

How to perform the prayer of praise.

Praise prayers are said 4 rak’ahs, “that is, with a taslim”, without a middle tashahhud, according to the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa.

At each of the four rak’ahs in the prayer of praise, the worshiper reads the Fatiha from the Book and Surah of his choice, then says standing immediately after the reading and before bowing these four glorifications: Glory to God – praise God – there is no god but God – God is great 15 times.

The worshiper kneels and after the usual glorification by bowing says: Glory to God – Praise God – there is no god but God – God is great 10 times, then raises his head from kneeling saying: God listens to those who praise, then says: Glory to God – praise God – there is no god but God God is 10 times greater.

And the worshiper falls into prostration, and after the usual glorification in prostration he says: Glory to God – praise God – there is no god but God – God is greatest 10 times, then he raises his head from prostration between the two prostrations after the usual supplication, and says Glory to God – praise God – there is no god but God God is 10 times greater.

The worshiper then prostrates himself and after the usual glorifications in prostration he says: Glory to God – praise God – there is no god but God – God is great 10 times, then raises his head from prostration and squats on his haunches. a slight break between prostration and standing and says: Glory to God + praise to God + there is no god but God + God is great 10 times, ie 75 times in each rak’ah.

The worshiper does this 4 times, that is, in all four rak’ahs, so that is 300 glorifications.

Norms on the prayer of praise

The Egyptian Dar al-Iftaa confirms that the tasbih prayer is lawful and mustahabb, which is the Shafi’i and Hanafi school of thought, and the Hanbalis say that it is permissible. Summary”, where he conveys a weak hadith on the authority of Ibn Taymiyyah and Al-Mazi.
