The red carpets are back, baby, and this year a host of stars descended on the red carpet outside London’s Royal Albert Hall for the 2022 Baftas.
As well as being the first Baftas at full capacity since the start of the pandemic, this year also marks the 75th anniversary of the British Academy Film Awards.
Last year’s event was more subdued, with many nominees and winners appearing via video call rather than in person.
The Baftas celebrate the best of cinema, both British and international, and this year the science fiction saga Dune led the pack of nominations, followed by the power of the dog other Belfast.
It’s the red carpet where our eyes were fixed, though, as we reveled in the sartorial statements made by the stars at this year’s awards.
Before the awards, attendees were told to dress respectfully amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. The result saw many attendees, including Laura Whitmore, Ariana DeBose and Wunmi Mosaku, dressed in yellow, the national color of Ukraine.

the Bridgerton The season two actor delivered one of the night’s brightest looks, wearing this fuchsia jumpsuit and cape with a sheer top.
Emma Watson opted for a dress with a plunging neckline and a voluminous tulle skirt. She kept her hair simple, styling it down with bobby pins and wore black heels that wrapped around the ankle and held a white clutch bag.
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton made a strong case for the cutest couple on the BAFTAs red carpet. We love Ashton’s pink cape dress and her trendy black bag.

The supermodel stayed on trend in her square-necked black dress and light-toned nail polish. Her hair was long and straight and she wore a smoky eye.

The actor wore an all-black ensemble to the awards, complete with black gloves and a black sash.
New other pam and tommy Actor Sebastian Stan switched up his red carpet look by opting to go tie-less and incorporate a metal ring necklace into his look.
Florence Pugh took the opportunity to show off her new septum piercing at this year’s Baftas, accessorizing her black mini dress (with its dramatic pink train) with Boucheron jewelry.
Radio presenter Clara Amfo was one of the first to appear on the Baftas red carpet, wearing a metallic silver midi dress and matching silver heels.
The singer went emerald with her Baftas 2022 look. Lady Gaga wore a dark green dress with a plunging neckline, sky-high platform heels, emerald and diamond jewelry, and a matching bag in dark tones.
benedict cumberbatch and sophie hunter
Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter made a striking couple, with Cumberbatch dressed in a classic black tuxedo and Hunter in a gold Grecian gown. Cumberbatch showed his solidarity with the people of Ukraine by wearing a blue and yellow badge, the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
How fun is Wunmi Mosaku’s bright yellow dress? The actress kept her accessories simple, opting for gold heels and a white clutch.
the Belfast The actor (and Bafta nominee) can’t go wrong when it comes to red carpets and this look is no different. Balfe’s floor-length black dress is accessorized with pale pink dangling earrings and a dramatic dark lip.
Get fluffy or go home. Daniel Kaluuya’s blue jacket and coat suit has some bright textured accents and we’re here for it.
Best Leading Actress nominee Renate Reinsve looked elegant in her floor-length white dress with a gold belt and gold details on the sleeves.
The actress wore an elegant purple velvet dress with black lace details and her hair was tied up in a bun.
Former England footballer Alex Scott dazzled on the red carpet in this white gown with floor-length slits. Long sleeves were a smart choice for the March weather.
Fashion influencer Andreea Cristea was another early attendee and made a statement in her floor-length dress with puff sleeves in lime tones.

It’s safe to say we’re obsessed with Shalom Brune-Franklin’s Bafta 2022 look. The Turist The actress’s floor-length, sparkly black gown perfectly complements her sleek hairstyle.
the island of love The presenter kept things bold and bright with her yellow-toned dress and red lipstick. Her hair was styled in soft waves and she wore minimal jewelry.
The model donned a strapless black Saint Laurent dress and accessorized the look with red lipstick, gold earrings and slicked back hair.
Daisy Ridley did the same with all black, even her black nail polish. the Star Wars The actress accessorized her black bardot dress and tulle skirt with an emerald necklace and snake ring.
Best Leading Actress nominee and member of the Haim gang, Alana Haim’s green dress featured a deep V-neckline with a gathered waist.
previous made in chelsea The star looked gorgeous in pink in this 1980s-style one-shoulder dress. Mackintosh let the dress speak for itself, accessorizing it only with black stilettos, diamond jewelry and matching pink lipstick.
Opting for old Hollywood glamour, Lucy Boynton’s blonde hair was styled in short curls and she sported a striking red lip. Her blue-gray patterned dress had a thigh-high slit and she donned black and white pointy heels and Boucheron jewelry.
Best Supporting Actress nominee Ariana DeBose looked perfect in this strapless yellow dress with a thigh-high slit and red accents.
The Wizard Actress Emma Appleton kept things simple in a floor-length, long-sleeved, high-neck gown in black velvet and white polka dots from Saint Laurent. She paired the look with a Saint Laurent clutch.

Sienna Miller paired her white dress with black lace gloves and red lipstick.
Best Leading Actress nominee Emilia Jones looked positively gold in her metallic halterneck gown.

The snakeEllie Bamber’s beauty look was one of our favorites, with her hair pulled back in an elegant bow. She donned a sheer black skirt, matching back heels, and a backless tweed jumper.
