MADRID, June 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Telefónica and NTT Data cooperate with Cie Automotive for the automation of 5G intralogistics management to increase the flexibility, efficiency and traceability of internal logistics processes in Industry 4.0, as the operator reports.
To this end, they are carrying out a Proof of Concept (PoC) with Cie Automotive and at their facilities in Itziar (Guipúzcoa) a 5G intralogistics management platform has been developed and implemented as an integrating and supporting solution for the automation of the transport of end products, from which last zone of the production line up to the warehouse.
The aim of the solution is to increase the flexibility, efficiency and traceability of internal logistics processes through the intelligent management of multiple sensors and mobile devices such as AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots).
The solution, as the company explains, is designed for customers from various industry segments such as automotive, manufacturing, distribution centers and ports to gain capacity in automating their production processes.
Thus, the technology provided by Telefónica and NTT Data facilitates the integration and management of mobile robots, offering a scalable platform that helps to improve internal logistics processes, thanks to the sustainable integration of different types of autonomous mobile devices, their integration with management systems and other sensors of an industrial plant and offers the user visibility and control of all operations in real time via 5G.
