Taylor Swift has announced new music.
The 32-year-old artist announced on Tuesday (March 22) that she will be releasing a new song called ‘Carolina’.
Taylor revealed that she wrote the song “alone” and produced it with longtime friend and musical partner Aaron Dessner. The musicians previously co-produced Taylor’s critically acclaimed eighth and ninth studio albums, “Folklore” and “Evermore.” The song will appear in the upcoming film adaptation of the 2018 crime thriller ‘Crayfish Song’ by American author Delia Owens. A clip of the song can be heard in a new trailer for the film, which will be released on Tuesday. The film, which is being produced by actress Reese Witherspoon, 46, stars ‘Normal People’ actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, 23. The ‘Cardigan’ singer wrote in an Instagram caption: “I wrote the song ‘Carolina’ on my own and asked my friend @aarondessner to produce it. I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to go along with this fascinating story.” While the song doesn’t have an official release date yet, Taylor added that the full version of ‘Carolina’ will be released in full “soon.” She added: “You’ll hear it in full soon, but check out the @crawdadsmovie trailer for a clip now!”
