Stalker sends 1,000 emails to the “Crown” star
An alleged stalker apparently poses a “significant risk” to Claire Foy, posing as a director and producer.
British actress Claire Foy (38) allegedly came into contact with a stalker in November and December last year. The 39-year-old represents a “considerable risk”, as has just been explained in court. This is reported by Britain’s BBC and The Times, among others.
The actress should become “his girlfriend”.
The alleged stalker sent more than 1,000 emails to Foy over a month-long period. He posed as a director and producer and, among other things, contacted the 38-year-old’s sister and her agent. The man, who apparently lives in a facility for the mentally ill or mentally ill, discovered the actress’ address and stood outside her door several times.
As we learned in February, Foy, known among other things from the Netflix hit “The Crown”, called the police in mid-December about the 39-year-old man. The man wrote in the emails that he wanted the actress to be “his girlfriend.”
The police applied for a protective order which prohibits him from contacting the actress. A temporary order has been extended until July 28. If the alleged harasser violates this, they face criminal prosecution. Another hearing is scheduled for July 22.
