Linda Evangelista (57) had withdrawn from public view in recent years because the side effects of a cosmetic procedure have “deformed her forever”, as she revealed on Instagram in 2021. In a corresponding lawsuit, they have now agreed that explains the model in a new post.

Evangelista is eager to put the case behind her and looks forward to “the next chapter” in her life. She was “really grateful” for the support she received. The 57-year-old now wants to try to leave it all behind, also explains an anonymous source close to the “People” of Evangelista. After years of “hiding”, the model is coming out again. She therefore feels “loved” by the benevolence of the fashion industry, her colleagues and fans.

“I can’t live like this anymore”

The magazine reported in Februarythat Evangelista allegedly sued the device maker for $50 million over the procedure. However, it’s unclear how much compensation the company is now paying the model.

At the time, she also confided in “People” on her ordeal: “I can no longer live like this, in secrecy and in shame, I can no longer live with this pain, I am ready to finally speak.” Within three months of her treatment, she noticed swelling in her chin, hips and chest. So the very areas she “wanted to shrink suddenly grew and hardened. Then they went numb.” A doctor diagnosed her with paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH), a rare side effect of the procedure she underwent. Tissue volume increases rather than decreases at the treated site.
