Saxony-Anhalt will continue to wear masks until April 2
After most of the federally prescribed corona protection measures were abolished on Sunday, Saxony-Anhalt initially adhered to the mask requirement. On local public transport, as well as in restaurants, shops and other closed spaces, at least one medical mouth and nose protector must be worn until April 2, as the Magdeburg state government announced on Saturday.
Other restrictions lifted. According to the information, these include the private contact restrictions that were last applied to those who were not vaccinated against Corona, as well as the upper limits for individuals, for example, for sporting and cultural events. If the organizers voluntarily decide to allow access only to people who have been vaccinated three times or who have been vaccinated twice with a negative corona test (2G plus rule), the minimum distances could also be reduced and the wearing of masks could be dispensed with. For the rest, the 3G rule is now applied in general, which means that those who have not been vaccinated with a daily test also have access.
According to the information, the testing standards for schools will remain in place. Pupils must therefore be tested for a possible infection with the corona virus at least three days a week. (eps)
