Sequel and spin-off planned

The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, is getting a sequel and a spin-off. Netflix just announced it.

The Netflix streaming service announced on Tuesday that the recently released spy thriller “The Gray Man” from directors Joe (51) and Anthony Russo (52) will have both a sequel and a spin-off. It has also been confirmed that Ryan Gosling (41) will also star in the sequel.

“With ‘The Gray Man,’ the Russos delivered a jaw-dropping spectacle that was enjoyed by audiences around the world,” Global Film director Scott Stuber said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to work with them and the AGBO team to further expand the universe of ‘The Gray Man’.”

As “People” pays furtherthe sequel is set to be written by Stephen McFeely, who also co-wrote the first film, while the spin-off will be penned by Deadpool and Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.

Russo brothers horny

“The public reaction to The Gray Man has been phenomenal,” the Russo brothers said in a statement. “We are very grateful for the enthusiasm that fans around the world have developed for this film.”

They added: “With so many amazing characters in the film, we’ve always wanted The Gray Man to be part of an expanded universe and we’re thrilled to have Netflix announce a sequel starring Ryan, along with a second storyline, than us I want to talk about soon.”

The film, which opened in select theaters from July 15 before hitting Netflix last Friday, hit number one in 92 countries, according to Netflix data.
