Peru uses soccer to encourage its citizens to get vaccinated

The Peruvian authorities will raffle a set of tickets to enter the final round of the South American Qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, in which Peru will face Paraguay on March 29, as a way to encourage vaccination against Covid-19.
The Ministry of Health indicated that all 25-year-olds who come to receive the vaccine with their vaccination card and wearing the Peruvian national team shirt will be able to participate in the draw until March 21.

With the support of the Peruvian Football Confederation, a draw will be held for the participants of the “Football is to protect, fill your doses” contest. Participants must post a photo or video on their social networks wearing the Peruvian shirt and showing their card. with the vaccination date.

The photo or video must be accompanied by the hashtag #AnímateEsProteger and the publication must include links to the networks of the Ministry of Health and the Peruvian Football Federation, as well as a message “encouraging others to get vaccinated”.

The results of the giveaway, which will include all eligible posts with the most social media interactions, will be announced on March 24.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, more than 25.4 million people have received two doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines in the country, while 11.6 million have received the third dose.

Peru receives the Paraguayan team at the National Stadium in Lima in a match on the last day of the qualifiers that will be decisive in its aspirations to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
