The spark for the battle came in late March 2015, when the Houthi coup militia seized control of Aden International Airport and large areas of the city.
But the “Southern Resistance” moved and led the secretariat to defend the city, and on July 14, with the heavy participation of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates, managed to liberate the Aden airport and took control of important parts of the city after violent battles. with the Houthis and their followers before the map of victories spread across the country to the south, east, west and north.
