As we prepare for an epic final season next Wednesday, after the pleasant surprise of the last episode which had a flashback that allowed us to see “young” Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker again, many fans are wondering if there will be possibilities for a second season and the people behind the series they respond to.
Ewan McGregor he let the folks at Lucasfilm know that he wanted to continue playing Obi-Wan Kenobi in some capacity. “I hope this isn’t the last time I play this character,” the Briton recently told the Radio Times. “I had a great time making this series. I’m sure we can think of doing a few more stories before the character turns into Alec Guinness, don’t you think?he said, referring to the original Obi-Wan actor, who took on the role in Episode IV: A New Hope, which takes place several years after the events of the Disney+ series.
The director and creator of the series, deborah foodalso agrees with McGregor, as he said he has ideas for continuing to explore this part of the galactic universe, according to Discuss the movie.
The writer does not close to the idea of a second season
For his part, the writer Joby Harold replied to Collider when asked about Kenobi’s chances of traveling further afield: “I get asked about it all the time. I’ve thought about it for so long as a closed story that my mind is so focused on it as some kind of [serie] limited, that I have not thought further. But he’s a great character. They are all amazing characters.
