For the areas of service, IT and technology, the creation of 30 additional full-time positions by CHU has been agreed. “The clinics have a year and a half to set up and introduce the necessary IT systems,” explained Verdi negotiator Heinz Rech. A package of five days off was agreed for the transition.

State government welcomes deal

The state government welcomes the deal in negotiations. Science Minister Ina Brandes said: “The agreement brings noticeable relief to all patient-related professions at the six university hospitals in North Rhine-Westphalia.” The nursing staff and other employees have done an excellent job and have made an important contribution to the strength of university medicine.
