The mood in Moscow is confused, wait and see, intangible. Store after store closes, money becomes less and less valuable. And no one talks about what it’s really about anyway. Scenes of a city that does not know what is happening to it.

He is waiting at the Mayakovsky monument, as agreed. The statue of the Soviet poet is well known, but the journalist, just in case, sends a photo of the meeting point, adding that he is wearing a dark gray coat and a black cap. He takes a nervous drag on his cigarette, the sun is shining and as a greeting he asks, “Do you really want to stay in Russia?”
