Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah stated that the Lebanese government’s engagement with the Kuwaiti newspaper will once again lead to a sustainable relationship with Lebanon.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the “Doha Forum” in Qatar.
The Kuwaiti minister said: “The meeting was frank and full of brotherhood, love and affection for Lebanon and the brotherly Lebanese people. I conveyed to Mikati Kuwait the welcome to the statement made by His Excellency the President following the contact that took place between us, as well as the statement by the Lebanese Cabinet, which welcomed the initiative of Kuwait and the ideas that we conveyed on behalf of the brothers of the GCC countries. Cooperation, some Arab countries and the international community, in the context of rebuilding trust with Lebanon.
He added: “I also conveyed praise and praise for what Prime Minister Najib Mikati did regarding the Lebanese government’s commitment to the Kuwait document, as well as Lebanon’s commitment and response to resolutions of international legitimacy.”
Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah continued: “There are also two main problems related to Lebanon not being a platform for any verbal or actual aggression, or any matter that may endanger the security of the region or undermine the security of the region. and the stability of the region, and the responsibility of the Lebanese state and the Lebanese government in this field”.
He added: “This matter was highly appreciated by Kuwait as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
He hoped that the Lebanese reaction would once again lead to a sustainable relationship with Lebanon and the Lebanese people, based on mutual respect in all matters related to brotherhood and cooperation between Lebanon and its Arab and regional environment, and in the interest of Lebanon and the region and its interest and prosperity.
