Osnabrück (dpa / lni) – According to information from the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”, more than 100 inmates and employees of the Oldenburg prison have tested positive for the corona virus. A spokesman for the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice confirmed this to the newspaper. Since March 9, 98 inmates and 18 employees have been infected through a PCR test. The tests were ordered on a case-by-case basis. “Most of the prisoners have a mild course of the disease; some said they did not notice anything at all,” the ministry said. There are no cases with severe symptoms. A total of 300 people were imprisoned at the Oldenburg JVA.
