The Top Four is technically not the First Round, which begins on Thursday. Instead, the First Four are a set of four play-in games that have been part of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament since the field expanded to 68 teams in 2011. The teams participating in the First Four are the four lowest seeds. automatic qualifiers and the four lowest-seeded overall teams. Each subset plays against each other.
This year, in the men’s tournament, the four games in the First Four games are No. 16 seed Texas Southern against No. 16 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi; No. 16 Wright State against No. 16 Bryant; No. 11 Rutgers against No. 11 Notre Dame and No. 12 Wyoming against No. 12 Indiana.

The first four games on Tuesday begin at 6:40 pm ET and 9:10 pm ET, respectively.
