The Dubai Sports Council, headed by Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, affirmed progress in achieving the vision of the Emirates Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to promote the sports sector. in Dubai and contribute to the development of the sector at the level of the Emirates in general.

Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the enthusiasm of the Dubai Sports Council to follow the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to achieve the national goals set for the sports sector with the highest levels of efficiency and in accordance with the highest international standards. , in line with the plan and objectives of the rational government and in line with the scale of development that is taking place, the State is witnessing it in all fields.

This took place during the first meeting of the Board of Directors with its new formation, headed by Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and in the presence of Mattar Al Tayer, Vice President of the Board, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Dubai Police Chief and members: Hala Yousef Badri, Sami Al Qamzi, Mohammed Al Kamali, Maryam Al Hammadi, Moza Al Marri, Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Deputy Secretary General of the Council, and Saleh Al Marzouqi, rapporteur of the meeting.

On the desired goals for the next stage, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the main goal is to make Dubai the first choice for international sports athletes, teams and organizations, which requires continuous work to strengthen the partnership with the private sector, to enhance the capabilities of the sports sector and increase its attractiveness for investment. In an effort to improve the contribution of sport to the local product, His Highness welcomed all ideas, proposals and visions that would achieve these goals and confirm the opportunities to consolidate the pillars of a distinguished and happy sporting community.

2021 performance report.
The meeting reviewed the Dubai Sports Council’s performance report for the year 2021, which included the council’s achievements in the level of administrative excellence among Dubai government departments and the pioneering initiatives it launched, as well as the achievements of football clubs and companies. . in Dubai at the level of all categories, either in winning titles or Graduating outstanding players from academies and youth teams and integrating them into the first teams of their clubs, as well as supplying them to the national teams.

The Council’s performance report for the year 2021 also included the significant growth experienced by the sports sector and cooperation with the private sector, as the number of private sports institutions in Dubai increased to 1,200, employing more than 20 000 members, and more than 51,000 Athletes are registered, playing 56 sports and participating in hundreds of sports Annual sporting events and tournaments organized under the supervision and support of the Council, including community sporting events, the number of which increased to 155 during last year.

The report reviewed the growth achieved internationally, as the number of international events reached 130 various activities, and the number of national and international team camps in Dubai reached more than 70 camps, while the international tournaments and events that were held in Dubai were watched by viewers in 200 countries.
