Alfeld (dpa / lni) – With a gun, two unknown men at the Alfeld train station in the Hildesheim district wanted to extort money from a man. The perpetrators, aged between 16 and 25, and the victim of the attempted serious robbery had arrived in Alfeld on Friday evening with the Göttingen metronome, police said on Monday. The two followed the man to a parking lot next to the train station, where they talked to him, asked him for cash and asked him to show his wallet. According to the police, one of the perpetrators took a pistol out of his pocket and loaded it.
But because the victim had no cash with him, the two perpetrators let the man go, saying he was “just funny,” as they put it. They fled on foot. The police are looking for witnesses.
