Lower Saxony and Bremen
Corona regulation will be presented next week
Hannover (dpa / lni) – A transitional regulation on the coronavirus with rules until the beginning of April will be presented in Lower Saxony next week. This regulation will be presented next Thursday in the social committee, according to what a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health said on Friday in Hannover.
According to the ministry, a draft of the new Federal Infection Protection Law includes the possibility for states to establish transition rules before April 2. Lower Saxony wants to make use of this. However, it is not yet known what the transition rules might look like in the federal state.
This transitional regulation would probably take effect at the end of next week, as the current regulation is only valid until Saturday of next week.
According to a federal and state decision, many protective measures against the coronavirus will be removed across the country from March 20. The federal government’s draft for the future rules was openly criticized in Lower Saxony. Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD) said this week that the federal states would lose numerous options for action.
On Friday, Weil warned against caution in NDR Info. Numbers were rising and infections were rampant, he said. It is important that critical infrastructure is not affected by staff shortages.
