Lower Saxony allows full stadiums from Saturday

Hannover (dpa / lni) – Soccer matches and other important events should be able to take place again in Lower Saxony from Saturday without limiting the number of participants. The prerequisite for this is that all viewers have been vaccinated against Corona or have recovered from an infection (rule 2G). This stems from the draft of the new Corona Ordinance, which the state crisis management team presented on Thursday to the health committee of the state parliament.

At outdoor events, it will no longer be necessary to respect minimum distances or mask requirements in the future. At events in closed rooms, on the other hand, FFP2 masks must be worn and indoor distance requirements apply for more than 2,000 participants. Events with a maximum of 2,000 spectators should be possible according to the 3G rule, so a negative corona test is sufficient there.

More recently, there was an upper limit of 25,000 spectators or 75 percent of the stadium’s capacity for football matches.
