Japan has revealed its plan to recycle its pavilion building at Expo 2020 Dubai, after the global event ends at the end of this month.

Yabunaka Aiko, Secretary General of the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, expressed her gratitude to the UAE expo organizers and their role in promoting the organizing work of the next edition in Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

She confirmed that the Japan Pavilion building will be recycled again after the end of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Aiko said, during a press conference at the Expo Media Center, that her country’s pavilion participated in the exhibition in an exceptional way, celebrating Japanese traditions, highlighting the long history of cultural rapprochement between Japan and the Middle East, from its architecture to The environment that developed in the different corners of the wing, according to the Emirates News Agency.

Regarding the preparations for Expo 2025 Osaka, he said that there are only 3 years left, noting that the Japan Pavilion team has already visited all the pavilions of the countries in the world participating in Expo 2020 Dubai, to ensure that they have the enough information. about the preparations that they have to make for 2025, and we believe that the challenges still lie in the fact that the real time is the short period.

On the use of the pavilion building after the end of Expo 2020 Dubai, the Secretary General of the Japanese Pavilion said: “We will start the dismantling process after the end of the Expo, of course because we have already planned a 6-month temporary exhibition. for the pavilion, we made it with materials that can be reused and recycled as much as possible.” .

He continued: “So we will dismantle the steel bars, we will use whatever materials will support the building best and hopefully we can keep it as a legacy somewhere in our gallery but we are not sure yet but we hope to preserve the legacy of some of the parts that remain as a great memory for many.” .

“The past six months have attracted enthusiastic fans, celebrities, delegations and dignitaries from around the world,” he added.

He continued: “Expo 2020 Dubai supported Japan’s global communication efforts, which materialized for guests through a personalized tour that focused on culture and advanced technologies while highlighting current global issues, which dovetails with the pavilion theme “Where Ideas Meet” with the adoption of destinations Joint consideration and the role of collective action in solving the environmental, social and humanitarian challenges facing the world.
