Selena Gomez is in talks for a reboot of “The Guns of Women” According to reports, she could return to production.
Will Selena Gomez (30) soon devote herself to the next big film project? According to “Variety” the actress and singer could take over the production of a new edition of the American comedy “The weapons of women” (Original: “Working Girl”). In director Mike Nichols’ classic 1988 film (1931-2014), Melanie Griffith (64) played protagonist Tess McGill alongside Harrison Ford (80) and Sigourney Weaver (72).
According to the report, Gomez is currently in final negotiations with film production company 20th Century Studios. The reinterpretation could then be released on Hulu, which is also where Gomez’s hit series Only Murders in the Building is currently streaming. The screenplay was written by Ilana Pena.

More details regarding the direction and cast are yet to be known. There is also speculation that Gomez will co-star.
The American ’80s comedy is about secretary Tess McGill (Griffith), who takes over the office in Manhattan after her boss Katharine (Weaver) breaks her leg while on a skiing vacation. But when she has a compelling idea, Katharine tries to get credit for it and pitches it to her business partner Jack Trainer (Ford) as her own.
The film was a massive hit at the time, grossing over $100 million at the box office. It also won an Academy Award for Best Song and received five other nominations.
