Inditex becomes a partner of IndesIA, the Consortium for Artificial Intelligence of Spanish Industry, joining Repsol, Gestamp, Navantia, Técnicas Reunidas, Telefónica, Microsoft, Airbus and Ferrovial to support the advancement of data technology and artificial intelligence in Spanish industrial companies .

With the incorporation of Inditex, IndesIA continues its desire to increase the competitiveness of the Spanish industrial fabric by bringing the country’s main industrial companies into the consortium.

The goal of IndesIA is to develop cases in which data technology and artificial intelligence are applied to solve industry challenges transversally and applicable to the entire value chain of companies.

Thus, nine major Spanish industrial companies are now promoting this strategic consortium with a European vocation, also supported by the Basque Center for Artificial Intelligence (BAIC) and Accenture.

“Leadership in its sector and Inditex’s great innovative power will allow IndesIA to accelerate its growth and consolidate its position to continue to offer all companies in the country a value proposition that enables them to advance their digitization, access to the Platforms and data spaces needed to implement the use cases and increasing the capacities associated with the digital profiles currently in place,” emphasizes the consortium.

Inditex operates in the fashion distribution sector worldwide, both through physical stores in 95 markets and through its online platform, available in more than 200 countries.

The incorporation into IndesIA as a promotional partner is consistent with its strategy of continuous process improvement in all its areas of activity, commercial management as well as industrial and logistical processes.

This new membership is further proof of the interest of companies and institutions to join the digital transformation and to promote the use of data and artificial intelligence to improve and promote new business models.

To date, the association has received more than 100 applications from SMEs wishing to join the project.

At present, IndesIA already has the support of six universities and training centers to give impetus to the training part; four technology centers; an association to promote the ethical use of data; and the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence itself.
