MADRID, June 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Integration, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, announced this Monday that his department is working on the creation of a direct subsidy of 400 euros per month per family for those displaced by the war in Ukraine who live outside of the country System state live foster parents, to which 100 euros per dependent child are added.
In a press conference in which he took stock of the management of the migratory situation due to the war in Ukraine and which coincided with the International Refugee Day, the Minister indicated that this issue will be discussed with the Autonomous Communities, since it is intended about the regional guaranteed minimum income.
In particular, he explained that he had spoken to the regions and municipalities where there was a greater concentration of displaced persons due to the armed conflict and that according to the ministry they were the Valencian Community, Catalonia, Madrid and Andalusia.
The intention of inclusion is that those families outside the state reception system who do not have sufficient funds for their basic daily needs, are registered and have a social security number receive this direct support. Those who meet the requirements will receive the scholarship for six months from the date of application.
Escrivá’s department estimates that around 40,000 displaced people will benefit from this initiative. That means 40% of the displaced are outside the state system.
