Incidence in Lower Saxony remains high
Hannover/Bremen (dpa/lni) – The incidence of corona in Lower Saxony remains high. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week was 1977.8 on Sunday. On Saturday, this value was slightly higher than 2042.6, but compared to last Sunday (1652.0) it is a significant increase.
According to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 12,208 corona cases were added in one day and two more people died from or with Covid-19. The incidence of hospitalization remained the same as the previous day at 16.3. The number indicates how many people were hospitalized with Covid-19 within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants. The occupancy of intensive care beds with corona patients also remained constant at 6.9 percent.
The seven-day incidence on Sunday was still the highest in Braunschweig (3534.3). The districts of Wolfenbüttel (3342.8) and the district of Grafschaft Bentheim (2919.0) followed. The districts of Cloppenburg (1004.4) and Göttingen (1205.0) recorded the lowest values.
In the state of Bremen, the seven-day incidence on Sunday was 1424.7 according to the RKI, on Saturday the value was 1223.3. New deaths have been reported.
