When you’re craving a piece of cake, the last thing you want to do is spend hours in the kitchen. Sometimes you just want a meal for one person, not a whole cake.
Fortunately, you can make a small chocolate cake in just seven minutes in a mug, and here’s how, according to the British Express newspaper.

the components
4 tablespoons self-rising flour
4 tablespoons of fine sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 medium egg
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons vegetable or sunflower oil
A few drops of vanilla extract or any other extract
2 tablespoons chocolate chips, pecans, or raisins (optional)

How to prepareThe first step
Add four tablespoons of self-raising flour, four tablespoons of powdered sugar, and two tablespoons of cocoa powder to your largest mug, making sure the mug is large enough to prevent ingredients from leaking out in the microwave.

Mix to combine all the ingredients together.

the second step
Add a medium-sized egg and mix in as much as possible, but don’t worry if there’s still a dry mixture left, then whisk the ingredients to combine well.

the third step
Add three tablespoons of milk, three tablespoons of vegetable or sunflower oil, and a few drops of vanilla extract and blend until smooth. You don’t want any lumps or bumps at this point, so be precise.
Then add 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips, nuts, or raisins and mix again.

the fourth step
Place the mug in the middle of the microwave oven and microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes. If you think the cake isn’t done, continue microwaving it until it stops rising and is firm to the touch.
When you’re done, carefully remove the mug from the microwave and serve plain or with ice cream.
