Graves due to injury: “Your foot is no longer your foot”
Hannover (dpa/lni) – Professional footballer Sebastian Ernst, from the second division Hannover 96, spoke about the first scare after his serious Achilles tendon injury. “A brief pain, and then your foot is no longer your foot. You lose the heel or the feeling of the heel because suddenly the connection is missing,” said the 27-year-old “Bild”. And he added: “It’s like you’re eight or ten kilograms behind, you can’t tiptoe anymore.”
The midfielder had ruptured his Achilles tendon the day before while warming up for the home game against Darmstadt 98 (2-2) in mid-February without any outside influence. He is expected to be out with the injury for about six months.
