The average price of gold rose today in Yemen, Saturday, March 19, 2022, in violation of the drop in the precious metal globally at the end of the week, yesterday, Friday.

The average price of a gram of 24-carat gold in Yemen increased during the afternoon today, to around 15,473 thousand riyals ($61.83).

The average price of a gram of 21-carat gold in Yemen (the most traded on the market), in the average day today, amounted to about 13,539 thousand riyals (54.10 dollars).

While the average price of a gram of 18-carat gold in Yemen, in today’s trade, was about 11,605 thousand riyals ($46.37).

Looking at cheap gold prices in Yemen today, the average price of a gram of 14-carat gold is about 9,026 thousand riyals ($36.07).

The average price of an ounce of gold today in Yemen rose to about 481,206 thousand riyals (1923 dollars).

The average price of a pound of gold (8 grams of 21 carats) in Yemen rose today to about 108,313 thousand riyals (432.82 dollars).

Globally, the price of gold fell 14 dollars at the end of the day on Friday (the closing of the week), with the rise of the US currency, to register the worst weekly performance of the yellow metal since the end of November 2021.

The yellow metal fell 2.8% for the week ending Friday, with gold posting its biggest weekly loss in almost 4 months.

The spot delivery price of the yellow metal fell about 0.8% to settle at $1,926.32 an ounce.

At the same time, the price of silver futures contracts – for May delivery – fell 2.1% to $25.08 an ounce.

While the spot price of platinum rose 0.4% to $1,030.56 an ounce, and the spot price of palladium fell 0.3% to $2,508.73 an ounce.

The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against 6 major currencies, rose 0.2% to 98.213 points.
