Free admission to the museum for Ukrainian refugees.
Hanover (dpa / lni) – The Landesmuseum Hanover offers refugees from Ukraine to visit its exhibitions free of charge. Director Katja Lembke said on Friday: “In addition to accommodation and the most important things in life, it’s also about getting used to the new city and finding distractions from bad experiences.” Art and culture are “connecting elements of humanity,” Lembke said. Ukrainian refugees could simply show up at the cash register. So they got free entry. The State Museum has a collection of paintings, and there is also a natural history department and numerous aquariums. The city of Hannover expects up to 22,000 refugees in the coming weeks.
