Northmoor (dpa / lni) – Unusual operation for the fire brigade in Ostfriesland: The emergency services rescued four cows from a cesspool on Saturday night. The animals ran through the wooden floor at a farm in Nortmoor (Leer district) and fell into liquid manure, police said. A veterinarian accompanied the rescue between 10:00 p.m. and 01:00 a.m. The use of the Jümme and Leer fire brigades was exemplary.
