Ecuadorian Estéfano Villavicencio is a Foreign Trade and Customs Engineer by profession, Master in Human Talent Management and currently Prince of Ecuador and Mr. Global 2021.

Estéfano has always believed in leaving the doors open to opportunity. That’s why after an invitation, representing his province of Bolivar, he decided to participate in Rey del Ecuador. “It totally took me out of my comfort zone, but I was encouraged to represent my province in this type of men’s competition.

Now he has been chosen to participate in Mr. Global, an international competition that takes place in Thailand. Since the first edition in 2014, more than 60 countries have participated. “Now it’s my turn and I do it with great pride and happiness.

“What this organization is looking for is an inspiring man for society, looking for the perfect balance between physical appearance and attitude. I consider that the perseverance and discipline that I have shown since my participation in Rey del Ecuador are important in this type of competition,” he says.

Estéfano says his aspiration is to reach the top of the contest and be able to be in the Top. “I hope that with the help of God and Ecuadorians, this can be achieved,” he said.

For the young Ecuadorian, this participation is an apprenticeship, being able to share with young people from other countries about his culture and customs.

Finally, Estéfano also seeks to share his experience with other young people to encourage them to participate. “Often people my age get carried away with stereotypes and what they will say. I tell them to give yourself the opportunity, that they won’t regret it, being here you realize the responsibility”, he points out.

“When you were a candidate for the post of King of Ecuador, you took the name of the province you represent, in this case Bolívar. Now I stop calling myself Estéfano and I call myself Ecuador, it’s a very big responsibility to represent the country, it fills my heart”.
