Freden (dpa / lni) – Due to a youth meeting at the train station in Freden (Hildesheim district), rail traffic was temporarily blocked on Saturday morning. According to the police, around 50 young people gathered at the train station around midnight. As a result, residents reported to police that some of those involved threw objects on the roadbed and it appeared that a physical altercation was imminent.

Police arrived and issued numerous space bans and blocked rail traffic for about 25 minutes. Two young men opposed the measures, he said. No one was injured. No further details were initially announced.
