What is DDR4 3600 RAM Compatibility Like? Does It Work with My Motherboard?

DDR4 3600 works on almost all computers that support DDR4 3200 and lower. Of course, you will not see any performance gains when using this memory kit in a computer that only has 2 GB of RAM module capacity. To be able to enjoy the benefits, you must at least have four modules of memory.

Let us start with something that may not be important for many, but might be useful for somebody. In case you don’t know what DDR actually stands for, take a look at the explanation below:

DDR stands for “Double Data Rate”. It transfers data on both the rising and falling edge of a clock signal, two data transfers per every clock cycle. This is important in real-life applications, but it doesn’t really matter in diep.io that much.

DDR3

  • 1. DDR2 memories lack the “Double Data Rate” feature – they only transfer data on a single edge of a clock signal, that’s down from 2 transfers per every cycle to 1. This makes them work slower as well as use more power in idle mode compared to DDR4 memories.

2. They support both low and high frequencies like DDR4 memories (which makes them slightly better than their predecessors).
