Just a few days after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the assembly lines of some German car factories were already at a standstill. Many employees had to work part-time jobs, as has happened very frequently in the last two years. The problem: a component was missing that was as important as it was relatively easy to produce, the so-called cable harnesses, with which all the functions on board a car are connected. Most of these come from the Ukraine, where supplier factories had to close in the short term due to the war.
