More pollen, longer flowering times: the situation for allergy sufferers has already gotten worse. How will this develop further and what does this mean for the health of people with hay fever?

Spring is coming, but not everyone is looking forward to it. Some pollen-allergic people are already struggling with burning eyes, a runny nose, and a feeling of exhaustion. Climate change is likely to ensure that they will suffer from these symptoms for longer into the future: due to rising temperatures, among other things, plants begin to flower and produce pollen earlier and earlier.
