Christopher Abbott has reportedly joined the cast of ‘Kraven the Hunter’.
The 36-year-old actor is on board for the Sony Pictures Marvel movie starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Christopher’s role has yet to be confirmed, but insiders say he will play the film’s main villain, the role of The Foreigner, one of Spider-Man’s greatest adversaries in the comics. Abbott joins a cast that also includes Ariana DeBose, Russell Crowe and Fred Hechinger. Alessandro Nivola recently joined the film as an unknown antagonist, suggesting that the main character will be fighting multiple villains. JC Chandor is directing the film, and Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing. Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay for the project. The character of The Foreigners has played a major role in the Spider-Man comics over the years and the mercenary is one of the best-trained martial artists in all of Marvel comics. He has had rare run-ins with Kraven, as well as running into others, including Spider-Man and Silver Sable.
