Olaf Scholz visited the German soccer players in the locker room after the final – and promised to support women’s football.

Olaf Scholz (64) and his political colleagues supported the German national footballers in the stands during the European Championship final in England. With his wife Britta Ernst (61), the Chancellor was invited to Wembley Stadium in London. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (52) and Bundestag President Bärbel Bas (54) also crossed their fingers in the stands.

After the defeat against hosts England (1-2 after extra time), he visited the DFB team in the locker room. According to the media, he expressed his respect for the team there – and promised that he would work for the future of women’s football.
