Stuttgart (dpa) – In view of the war in Ukraine, the car supplier Bosch has massively restricted its business in Russia.

The technology group from Gerlingen, near Stuttgart, reports that this affects both deliveries to the country and production there. The spare parts trade has already come to a standstill.

The group no longer supplies truck components in Russia or to Russian customers. After there were indications that Bosch parts had been misused “in non-civilian applications”, a check was carried out.

Bosch denies the accusations.

Earlier in the week, Bosch rejected Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba’s accusation that the company had supplied components for Russian infantry vehicles. The mentioned component was not supplied by Bosch to the manufacturer, even if it was a part of Bosch’s own production.

“Of course we comply with all prior and future statutory and legal requirements, including sanctions,” the statement said.

In addition to components for the automotive industry, Bosch also manufactures household appliances, power tools, and construction and industrial technology. According to the 2020 annual report, the Swabians have several locations in Russia, including in Saint Petersburg and Moscow.
