Best Razer Mouse – How the Razer Basilisk Ultimate Compares

Best Razer Mouse – How the Razer Basilisk Ultimate Compares

If you are looking for a new gaming mouse, the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate is the one to look at. It has all of the features and functions that you would expect from a high-end gaming mouse. For example, the on-screen programmable buttons give you extra functionality when you need it most. The programmable buttons control every function on your mouse including your gaming precision. With the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, you can even program additional buttons for other functions like controlling the volume.

In addition to the exceptional engineering, the best Razer mice also have a lot of fun built into them. For example, the Razer Deathadder V2 has a special laser signature that allows you to target enemies with laser beam accuracy. This gives you amazing accuracy in your gaming. Best of all, the laser markings do not fade with use. They remain bright and stand out for a long time ensuring you always have a sense of adventure in any game.

If you are concerned about getting too much for your buck, there are plenty of budget friendly wireless gaming mice available. However, with budget comes a lower quality product. Razer has recognized this and has created its own unique product line dedicated to professional gamers. If you are looking for something flashy and advanced without spending a fortune, the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate is probably the best choice for you. The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate is equipped with an eight DPI optical mouse for amazing tracking ability.

There are many mice on the market today that claim to be ergonomic. However, it is hard to find one that is truly ergonomic when looking at the surface of the mouse. Razer’s new gaming mice have a rock solid design and feature truly ergonomic mouse feet. The mouse feet feature two shock absorber rubber feet that stabilize the mouse to your desk or table. When on the go, no one wants to damage their wrists by pulling the mouse too far back. The two shock absorbing feet help minimize wrist movement during hours of intense activity.

Many mice offer customizable features such as buttons and light control keys. Razer has set the bar for gaming with the highest quality. With over $70k invested into this project, Razer takes it a step further by offering over a dozen customizable features right on the mouse itself. These features include a variety of settings for left and right sensitivity, a complete customization options for Polling Rate and Acceleration, and even programming support for software developers. With all these customizable features, you can sure have the best mice in town.

When looking for the best mice for your needs, take a look at the Optical input and DPI Sensor. The optical input comes with a laser sensor that is designed to detect laser light. This allows the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate to be used at any height between ten and eleven inches. The DPI sensor is designed to determine each and every individual light that hits the screen, which tells the device which buttons to activate and how strong they should be.

Wireless mice will allow you to get up and moving without having to worry about those wires getting in your way. The built-in wireless sensor will allow you to quickly go from desktop to battlefield without having to worry about getting ambushed by the enemy. With wireless sensors like these, you never know what kind of battle you’ll find yourself in. While these mice might not be perfect for competitive gaming, they are the best available when it comes to wireless mice.

When it comes to extra buttons, the Basilisk ultimate has twenty-four total buttons, including five action buttons. Pressing any button will register as a mouse click, allowing you to quickly go from applications to playing another game. The only complaint with the button locations is that sometimes the left and right clicks would hit the same button, causing you to accidentally double-click an application. Overall, this doesn’t pose a huge problem and is something you’ll likely see less of in an overall sense, especially if you are used to using a mouse with just a single button.

Razer Mouse Cons

If you’ve ever heard of Razer mice before, you probably have also heard about their gaming mice. A Razer mouse can get you one of best mice for gaming, office use, and well, just about anything else. Even if you aren’t into gaming too much one of these great Razer mice will still serve you very well, but even if you aren’t hunting for a top gaming mouse or top wireless mouse, it is a given that one in Razer will be right at the top. What sets them apart from other mice is that they have several different products that work together to let you do what you want when playing video games. These gaming mice are some of your best options for the money as far as mice go. Let’s take a look at these mice and review them so that you can decide whether or not they might be something worth looking into.

razer mice

Razer Blackwidow Ultimate

The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate is one of their more basic mice, and it works perfectly for any gamer. It has a smooth and soft black design that complements any gaming keyboard and mouse that you might already have. It also has an extremely high sensitivity that will make sure that you never miss a beat when playing video games. The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate is perfect for people who like to play at the higher settings on most video games. If you enjoy playing with the World of Warcraft or Age of Conan modes then this model is for you. The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate isn’t going to give you the same sensitivity that other mice offer, but it will make up for it by being better at the same things that other mice can’t offer.

Razer Megasoma

This is the mouse that everyone is talking about. The Razer Megasoma is the pinnacle of an ergonomic mouse because of its ability to fit your hands perfectly. It uses a patented shape that holds your fingers in a way that they would naturally grip a computer mouse. This means that when you move your hands, your mouse buttons are always within easy reach, which is especially important if you like using the Razer Megasoma for hours on end. Even hardcore gamers will appreciate how well this mouse works to ease their hands and wrists.

Razer Blackwidow Ultimate and Basilisk Ultimate

These two mice are somewhat of a misnomer, because both models utilize the same type of optical switches. What Razer Blackwidow Ultimate is capable of offering, however, is double the sensitivity than the Basilisk Ultimate. The reason why Basilisk has trouble with some gamers is simply because there aren’t many people who understand how their fingers work to register a hit and thus, there isn’t as much reaction from them. Many of these gamers get frustrated because they can’t figure out how to increase their sensitivity enough to actually get a good response from the mouse. With the double sensitivity, though, Basilisk can now tell whether a hit occurred or not, allowing it to better respond to more precise movements.

Razer Megasoma

One of my favorite pieces of software on my laptop is desktop management software called Surulea. This software allows me to measure not only the RZR-2’s effectiveness in surface calibration, but it also lets me measure the RZR-2’s accuracy when it comes to dead zone detection. Dead zones are where the mouse moves but nothing else happens, making it extremely difficult to determine which finger hit the mouse. Unfortunately, many gamers don’t realize how much this makes a difference until they place a tournament and discover how frustrating it can be to win because the mouse isn’t registering anything.

In terms of gaming performance, the two Razer mice share some similarities. Both programmable buttons and the double optical buttons provide a good amount of control and give my clicks a nice feel. The one major difference between the two is that the Basilisk ultimate costs are a little bit more than the Razer Megasoma, which might be worth it if you like the extra functionality.

However, the biggest and most noticeable difference between the two mice is in terms of ergonomics. The Razer Megasoma has several different programmable buttons that change the sensitivity of the mouse, which I find extremely helpful if I’m playing games on my computer for an extended period of time. At the same time, I still prefer to use the mechanical scroll wheel and the red laser light for precision gaming. Some might find the lack of programmable buttons a turn-off, but for me the lack of additional functions doesn’t affect my enjoyment of the mouse’s mechanical action so much. In fact, the red laser and the scroll wheel activity can even make me feel like I’m operating a futuristic aircraft-type computer system!

Overall, the Razer Megasoma and Razer Aries are both above-average mice, with each offering a diverse range of features that can be useful for different gaming experiences. The Aries has the edge in price versus the other two mice, mostly because it has slightly better ergonomics. Both of these models have excellent mechanisms and can easily click at speeds exceeding twenty thousand dpi, though some games require lower threshold levels to achieve maximum performance. In short, both models are excellent mice, and my advice is to stick with one of them.
