After an attack on the building in which the left-leaning daily newspaper “nd” is based, the Berlin police are investigating for bodily harm. A spokesman said Tuesday night that two people were wanted.
It is not yet clear if the act has a political background. The newspaper tweeted: “Several people were trying to force their way into the building, throwing beer bottles and physically assaulting one person. Police suspect he has a far-right background.”
According to Rouzbeh Taheri, editorial director and executive director of the new cooperative nd, two unknown men tried to enter the building. They were prevented from doing so.

They would have kicked in the lobby door. Words like “lying press” were said. “But no one was injured. There was only property damage,” Taheri told the German Press Agency. (dpa)
