Belgium waives players who have played more than 50 caps

Belgium have dropped players who have played more than 50 caps from their side facing Ireland and Burkina Faso this month, but have added a new face.

Coach Roberto Martínez on Friday chose 27 players for the two friendlies in Dublin and Brussels on March 26 and 29, including the sudden defender Sebeh van der Heyden from Union Saint-Gilois, who never made the selection.

Due to option selection, Toby Alderweireld, Yannick Carrasco, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, Dries Mertens, Thomas Meunier, Jan Vertonghen and Axel Witsel were left out.
