Likewise, Guterres has warned that recovering from the damage and devastation to homes, schools, hospitals and other critical infrastructure “will take years.”
“Working closely with the Government of Ukraine and more than 300 local civil society partners and international non-governmental organizations, the United Nations is reaching nearly 9 million people with vital and life-saving assistance. Our goal is to reach millions more in the coming months,” said the UN Secretary-General.
In this sense, he recalled that 90 percent of Ukrainians are at risk of falling into poverty, a problem for which he calls on the international community to support and support the people of Ukraine “in these dark days”.
