MADRID, July 27th. (Portaltic/EP) –
amd has introduced a new technology called AMD Noise Suppression, capable of reducing background noise in real-time during gameplay using a deep learning algorithm.
the tech company made known this new system in the presentation of the latest version of its AMD software driver: Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1.
Specifically, AMD has indicated that this already available solution works for both output and input devices.
This indicates that it works in calling programs that allow interaction with one or more people by voice, such as Microsoft Teams, Discord or Slack.
This is possible because it uses a real-time deep learning algorithm that reduces background noise and removes unwanted interference from both user’s microphone as well as on the other party’s device.
To access this feature, users need to download the latest version of AMD software and go ‘Settings’, ‘Audio and Video’. Inside, noise cancellation can be turned on for the input device, the output device, or both.
On the other hand, the company has indicated that, among other novelties that this update offers to its “software”, an improvement in performance in Minecraft, Enhanced support for Radeon RX 5000 and RX 6000 series graphics cards on laptops with AMD Ryzen and hybrid graphics thanks to OpenGL optimizations, as well as support for AMD Radeon Boost for titles like Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village and VALORANT.
