Alfonso Freeman

Alfonso Freeman is an American actor. He is known for his work in film, television, and theatre. Alfonso began his acting career in the late 1960s, appearing in several Off-Broadway productions. He made his film debut in 1971 with a small role in the drama The Hospital. Alfonso’s first major role came in 1974 with the blaxploitation film Black Belt Jones.

He has since appeared in films such as Car Wash (1976), The Mack (1977), and Eyes of a Stranger (1981). Alfonso has also had roles in several television series, including Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, and The Wire. In addition to his work as an actor, Alfonso is also a director and producer. He has directed episodes of The Wire and Soul Food. Alfonso is the father of actor/director Orlando Jones.
